SOME SNOW, SOME WARMTH, SOME RAIN....DECEMBER! BIRDS OR NO BIRDS?

We’ve been experiencing a mixed bag of weather during December & more importantly, during the holidays! While, in our area at least, it has provided for perfect driving conditions for those who have had to travel to various celebrations, it may not be the best for seeing lots of birds around your feeders! Don’t worry….the birds are around & will return when they need the food that you offer!

Following days with lots of moisture or if your seed has been out for a longer period of time with no action at your feeders, you may want to check to see if the seed is wet or, alternatively, clean the feeder out, wash it and add some fresh seed. We would advise not to fill it so you don’t waste it should birds continue to be absent & weather still damp. However, once the temperatures drop and/or snow returns, you’ll want to have your feeders full & ready!

Our final Sunday opening of the season is today, December 23rd, from 10am until 2pm! Thank you all so very much for your support this season & all year long….it has been quite amazing & oh so awesome!

Wow....you folks are keeping us hopping restocking our shelves, placing orders and picking up orders so we will have everything available that you might be looking for over the next few days! Today it was local honey, handcrafted soaps, and local pork while in the past few days both soy & beeswax candles have arrived, along with bird feeders, bird seed, maple syrup & much more! Just want to thank you one & all for your support...if it weren't for you, all this wouldn't be happening!!

A SNOWY TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13/18

While many may not be ready for the snow, it really is pretty on this Tuesday, November 13 2018! As well, it has certainly brought the beautiful birds to the feeders including the American Goldfinches!

IT'S NOVEMBER/MOVEMBER...MAKE IT THE BEST ONE!

It’s hard to figure where the month of October went, but here we are on the very first day of November! We hope that this month, once again, provides plenty of bird sightings so that we can share with you! A few days ago we were treated to three Red-tailed Hawks doing their thing! (here’s two in the photo and a video of one of them)
