Always a fun visitor around the feeders, this F Red-bellied Woodpecker was enjoying the offerings from this large capacity Aspects tube feeder! She was able to find one of her favourites - a peanut! It’s Thursday, November 7th….While not our first snow of the season, it is more significant than what we’ve had so far! As well, additional amounts are in the forecast for tonight & tomorrow! The House Finches were enjoying our feeders this morning, especially the Squirrel Buster with Weather Guard!!
While some have reported Juncos over the last few days & last week, we had our first sighting earlier today! A favourite of many, Juncos do look for food on the ground but they will also visit feeders. White millet, cracked corn, hulled sunflower are some of the offerings you may want to try to attract them to your feeders & garden!

Well, November has arrived….and with it, a little snow, wind, rain and much cooler temperatures! As the temperature consistently stays on the lower side and food in the wild is depleted, the birds should return to feeders in numbers! Get your feeders cleaned and then freshened with some of our amazing wild bird seed selections to welcome the birds to your garden ~ you will eventually be rewarded! If you haven’t checked feeders following the heavy rain many experienced the past few days, you should! Seed may be wet and will soon not be suitable for the birds to consume.

Today, Sunday, September 29th is the final day for Hawk Cliff Weekends! It is also the final day for the Ilderton Fair - they are topping it off with many events, including a Birds of Prey Show!!
