Richelle Hunter

Effective Thursday, January 14 at 12:01am, the provincial government issued stay-at-home orders along with also declaring a state of emergency. However, the new rules continue to permit businesses to offer curbside pickup so we will continue with our system of providing you with the items you need!

Many thanks to all of you for your continuing support!

SEED CYLINDERS/PEANUT LOGS A NICE CHOICE FOR BOTH YOU & THE BIRDS!

Richelle Hunter

The birds do love the ease of feeding from the seed cylinders/peanut logs. They are also an easy way for you to introduce someone to feeding the birds or for you to get started! They are also the perfect way to add that extra feeding station to your other offerings. If squirrels make your garden their home, you will want to be sure to offer these where they can’t get to them!

RESTOCKING SHELVES AS FAST AS WE CAN - UPDATE - PUZZLES ARRIVED!

Richelle Hunter

We have been placing orders & restocking shelves with many items, including candles, fragrance cubes, local, handcrafted soaps and more! Our puzzle stock has recently become lower than usual but we are expecting another shipment this week while maple syrup should be arriving today! We will most-likely be ordering honey very soon as supplies of some items are very low or out of stock. We have had more wild bird feeders/supplies on back order than what we have received, until recently, when we were able to land some new lines! We want to thank you one & all for your amazing support in these difficult times!

UPDATE - PUZZLES ARRIVED LATE IN THE DAY THURSDAY, DEC 3!

DECEMBER 1....THE BEGINNING OF METEOROLOGICAL WINTER...AND SNOW!

Richelle Hunter

It seems the weather gods knew this was the first day of December and the first day of meteorological winter with the snow that we have received! With rain turning to snow, along with a temperature drop, you’ll want to check that the ports on your feeders are clear. Also pack or clear snow from below feeders so that the birds that feed from the ground can find some nourishment.

SUNDAY SNOW.....AND PINE SISKINS!

Richelle Hunter

Not sure how many of you were expecting the snow that we received on Sunday….we certainly weren’t! While some would rather not have the white stuff, we didn’t mind as it brought some beautiful Pine Siskins to our nyjer seed feeders! Have you heard that there is currently an irruption of finches in our area? In addition to ‘our’ Pine Siskins, customers have reported having Pine Grosbeaks at their feeders! We are hoping to have some Common Redpolls as we have had in the past…Pine Grosbeaks would be wonderful too!
