BIRDS CHECKING OUT NEST BOXES!

While the weather the last couple of days has felt more like autumn, we’re looking forward to more warmer, sunny days before much colder temperatures are the norm! We were delighted to see a pair of Eastern Bluebirds checking out a nest box the last couple of days while a Downy Woodpecker was also having a peek! It’s an excellent time to add a box to your garden so stop by to peruse our garden room including our supply of birdhouses. You never know who might check it out now & then make a possible return in the spring.

Well, didn’t we have quite the welcome to autumn….so much rain! Weather perfect for ducks & not much else!

AUTUMN ARRIVES TODAY!

It’s hard to believe that summer is winding down as fall arrives later today. It really feels more like autumn in our area with the heavy rain in the forecast along with cooler temperatures. Some trees are losing their leaves while others are starting to show their amazing display of new colours. It’s a wonderful season…enjoy every second of it!

LOOK TO THE TREE TOPS...NEVER KNOW WHO MIGHT BE THERE!

We often take the time to glance to the tree tops in & around our home as we know they are popular spots for many species of birds to check things out! In the photo below, a beauty Red-tailed Hawk!

HUMMINGBIRDS ARE STILL HERE, FUELING UP!

Plenty of Hummingbirds are still here or passing through….still a fun time to watch them!

Like all of us, the birds and animals also need places to hydrate! Make certain all of your offerings are fresh with feeders cleaned often! Your bird baths will also need fresh water…daily or even more often during these high heat days! Take care, everyone!
