Yes, it's winter....colder temperatures & additional snow have arrived! We hope that you are looking after everyone, including your pets, limiting the time these furry family members spend out doors. If you are cold, they are cold. Please also take a moment to give the birds a hand. If you have feeders in your garden, keep them filled and make certain seed ports are free & clear of ice or snow. The less energy the birds use to get the food that they require, the more energy they will have to keep themselves protected from the cold! As well, clear snow from below your feeders. The birds that feed from the ground will be able to find the seed more easily. If you still have greenery or a real tree hanging around, place them below or near your feeders. The birds will appreciate the protection provided....from the wind, snow, cold & predators.
